The Working Girl's Workout: Stretch It Out

Hi this is Marielle from SummerGirl Fitness. I am guest posting today on Polished Pinstripes, blogging about stretching for all you working girls! I live in Austin, Texas and have a health and fitness company here. One of the things I see all the time with my clients is tight and sore muscles that result from hours sitting at a desk in front of a computer. One thing I always recommend is stretching every day for about 20 minutes once you get home from work, to really elongate the muscles and rejuvenate the body.

While you can make helpful changes at work by switching to a standing desk, sitting part of the day on a balance ball, and getting up and walking more during the day – incorporating weekly stretching workouts into your routine can be a great way to fight against tight and sore muscles.

 


Stretching is also a great way to relax after work, and take some time for yourself to appreciate your body and how hard it works for you!

The video above is a great 20-minute total body stretching routine that you can do any day of the week to relax and rejuvenate your body! I created this workout to focus specifically on stretching those muscles that you most often notice given you trouble when you work all day at a desk.
