Top 10 Trends for Fall 2015

With the first of September just days away, fall fashion is officially almost here! Leather, earth tones, boots and jackets are calling your name and crisp autumn days sound like heaven after the hot summer months. Here are some of my favorite fall trends that are breaking out this season.

Louise et Cie 'Baylee' Tassel Pointy Toe Loafer

The stacked kitten heel loafer is one of this fall's favorite shoe styles. Lucky for all of us professional ladies, this look is office appropriate and super comfortable.

MICHAEL Michael Kors Buckle Poncho with Faux Fur Collar

Nothing says fall or winter quite like faux fur cuffed sleeves or collar. This look can be over the top and extravagant, or simple and understated for the office.

Kate Spade New York 'Pave The Way' Drop Earrings

Go bold with your earring this fall and choose large pieces with color and texture. If your ears hurt just looking at these pieces...opt for a clip version to be nice to your lobes. Pack a pair of statement earrings in your work tote and take your daytime office look to a nighttime outfit.

Halogen Melange Pattern Suit

50 Shades of Grey...suits are perfectly on trend for fall 2015.  I love a grey suit as a great alternative to traditional black. Add one of these to your work wardrobe wishlist this fall.

7 For All Mankind 'Ginger' Flare Jeans

Flares are back! For all of you that were not fans of the skinny jean is your moment to shine. Flares are great to balance out a curvy figure and are all the rage this fall. Save these for your weekend away from the office or night out with friends.

NYDJ 'Aubrey' Colorblock Plaid Dress

Plaid is always a fall staple, and this year again tartan was seen all over the runway. Try this fun patten in a fall jacket, skirt, top or tote bag. Get creative and spice up your work wardrobe with a plaid sheath dress.

Alice & Olivia "Danyelle" Lace Silk Blouse
The Victorian romantic look includes lace accents, high collars and feminine ruffles. Combine one of these features with more masculine work pieces for an office appropriate look. For example, add feminine interest to a black pantsuit with a victorian lace blouse.

Altuzarra Lightweight Military Blazer

Military inspired jackets, pea coats, gold buttons and tassels makes Navy chic this fall. Add some military inspired pieces to your fall wish list - and mix in gold for an elegant touch.

TIBI Car Wash Skirt

The car wash skirt is a fun new trend for this fall. The skirt style has multiple slits that make fluttery panels and create a lot of movement. Possibly too adventurous for the office depending on where you work, but definitely something fun to experiment with this season.

Betsey Johnson Faux Fur Trim Belted Puffer Coat

With cold days around the corner, consider investing in a puffer coat to keep you warm and on trend during colder months. Look for one that still has some shape with a belt or tie to keep it feminine and not too oversized.

Summer Recipes: Fresh Peach Bellinis

Happy Friday Everyone! Time for a fresh and light summer cocktail to finish off the work week with style. I love recipes with peaches in the summer - this fruit is in season, extra affordable, and so delicious. Make these fresh peach bellinis for friends this weekend and enjoy an evening away from the office.

This recipe is from Ina Garten on the Food Network and makes 6-8 servings.

Fresh Peach Bellinis - Ina Garten

2 fresh, ripe peaches
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1 bottle chilled prosecco sparkling wine

Use a food processor or blender to mix the main ingredients. Take the pit out of each peach and place the fruit, lemon juice and sugar in the machine. Mix together and blend until smooth. Next pour the mixture through a sieve to remove the peach solids. Finally, grab a fancy glass and put 2 tablespoons of the peach mixture in the bottom of the glass and fill the rest with chilled prosecco. Cheers!
